In The Land Of… is a collection of musical “postcards” or short stories, compositions inspired by images of places, people, emotions, stories and relationships. The style mixes jazz with influences from minimalism and impressionism: atmospheric, melodic, spacious. There’s a sense of calmness and space, yet also emotional depth and harmonic colour. The compositions aim to evoke moods, places, memories — not just as tunes, but as evocative soundscapes where trumpet, piano and bass/drums interplay in a subtle, expressive way, seeking balance between longer, meditative pieces mixed and shorter, more intimate tracks, creating a fluid, cinematic journey.
The record brings together musicians from Austria, Belgium, Slovenia and Tunisia. The blend gives the album an international, cross-cultural feel while staying rooted in jazz — but with fresh, poetic, impressionistic composition.
