A free exhibition at Marni in Brussels, tracing fifty years of commitment to Belgian jazz
To mark its 50th anniversary, the association Les Lundis d’Hortense invites you to delve into its history through a selection of archive material: a timeline, past and present posters, archive photographs and many other documents to discover.
Since 1976, the association has been working to promote and spread Belgian jazz, honouring those who bring it to life. This exhibition traces fifty years of activities, discoveries, experiences and creativity, but also, above all, a deeply human adventure, written collectively ‘by and for the musicians’.
The exhibition is open free of charge at the Marni from 3 to 28 October inclusive, on all performance days, one hour before the shows and during the performances.
The exhibition is accompanied by an anniversary book published by Samsa Éditions, which, through archives and personal accounts, traces the 50-year history of Les Lundis d’Hortense: from the association’s inception and its many activities, right up to the current Belgian jazz scene and some prospects for the future.
The book ‘50 Years of Jazz in Belgium’ is available in bookshops, at our concerts in Brussels or by ordering via
