Daedalos : A musical creation around the theme of the Labyrinth
Pierre Vaiana and Mathieu Robert, two soprano saxophonists with a jazz background, combine their techniques and their imaginations in search of new sonic forms. They venture down paths filled with hope and false leads through the theme of the labyrinth.
They join forces with pianist Fabian Fiorini, a magician of sound, in improvisations through the maze of a musical encounter rarely heard.
The unique instrumentation (two soprano saxophones and a piano) evokes a sound that is ancient and modern at the same time.
The labyrinth is a winding, tortuous path, filled with false leads but also an endless source of hope. Is the truth found at its hypothetical center?
Or does it simply lie in the tireless quest for a resolution?
Once solved, if we could trace the unpredictable path taken to reach its center, we would see nothing but a straight line.
Yet we must lose ourselves to eventually find ourselves. For the answer lies at the center of each of us.
